Runners face second biggest meet of the year

Inland Lakes traveled to Gaylord to attend to the Northern Michigan XC Championship Rotary Invitational meet on Saturday, Oct. 21.

There were twenty-seven schools who showed up from all over Michigan and in all different divisions. The girls team finished twenty-second out of the twenty-seven teams and finished third in their division. A lot of the girls ran their season best on the course at Michaywe Pines Golf Course.

“Nearly every girl on the team ran their season best today,” coach Sarah Furman said.  “The field featured mainly D1, D2 and D3 teams, and eight teams ranked in the state across the divisions.”
