JV football defeats Newberry

On Sept. 27, the JV football team played against Newberry at home on Thursday night. The game was delayed, due to no officials showing up to referee the game. The game was finally officiated by the Varsity football coach, Brian Lark, and two Junior Bulldog coaches.

Starting the game off with receiving the ball, the Bulldogs had a successful first drive. Ending it with a 49-yard touchdown pass to Beau Vizina and a two-point conversion. Putting the Bulldogs in the lead, 8-0. Newberry has a drive with an 89-yard touchdown pass, with an incomplete two-point conversion. The Bulldogs end the quarter leading 8-6.

Starting the second quarter, the Bulldogs had another successful drive with a 57-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Bishop, with an incomplete two-point conversion, the Bulldogs were still in the lead, 14-6.

Starting the second half of the game, the Bulldogs kicked the ball to Newberry. Both teams got several drives during the third quarter, but neither team managed to score. 

With the start of the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs had a good drive down the field, ending the drive with a 40-yard touchdown run by Cameron Wallace, with an incomplete two-point conversion. The Bulldogs finished the game 20-6. Winning their second game of the season.
