After months of preparation, the varsity cheer team finally had their time to shine at both the Homecoming pep assembly and the Homecoming football game on Oct. 5.

Coach Erin Basgall choreographed the routine in the month of September. Basgall also put together all of the music to make a mix that goes with all of the dance moves.

This season, Basgall chose the songs In My Feelings by Drake, What’s My Name by the Descendants Cast, and One Kiss by Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa.

The team had many obstacles that they had to overcome before performing the routine but pulled it together on performance day. The team worked hard for countless hours in the rain, wind, heat and cold weather conditions.

“The preparation for the routine felt like it took forever. The stunt group I was in changed a total of four times,” junior co-captain Hannah Krussell said. “It was stressful but we finally pulled through and hit all of the stunts that we needed to accomplish.”

Overall, the performance was a big hit and pleased the crowd.
