Editors excited for Chicago

Editors for the Nexus yearbook prepare to shoot a video on Oct. 29 in preparation for their trip the NSPA/JEA in Chicago.

Editors Hannah Krussell and Nathaniel Wandrie interview students attending the 2018 National Scholastic Press Association in Chicago. Looking forward to the event, the editors ask a variety of questions to get a better understanding of everyone’s expectations.

“I think that the preview interview gave us a better mindset to see where everyone’s heads were at. It also gave me a little bit of a better understanding of what to expect,” Nexus editor in chief Nathaniel Wandrie said. With having a better mindset going into the trip, it will only make everyone else more successful in the long run.

“The interview allowed me to see what the others were hoping to obtain from the trip. Knowing what goes on at the conventions I feel like I will be able to guide them to the right breakout sessions to make sure that everyone accomplishes at least one goal that they have. It will be really exciting to see how everyone reacts to the convention itself,”  il360 editor in chief Hannah Krussell said. Overall, the students are ready for a new challenge and are exited to see what the convention will bring.
